Work-Life Liaisons

Become a Work-Life Liaison

The Faculty Success team is looking for faculty members who want to support recruitment efforts by answering candidate questions about living and working in Rolla. Work-Life Liaisons support campus faculty recruitment efforts by meeting individually with candidates during campus visits to discuss Missouri S&T’s dual career resources, tenure-clock extension policies, leave opportunities, community resources, and to direct candidates to appropriate resources for additional information. These meetings are confidential and separate from the formal search process. Work-Life Liaisons provide faculty candidates with information about what it is like to work and live in Rolla and help them make informed employment decisions.

· Attend monthly meetings for training, information sharing, and updates to support their work

· Meet individually and in person with faculty candidates during their campus visits

· Remain familiar with campus policies, opportunities, and community resources

· Provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for candidates to ask questions about campus culture and living in Rolla outside of the search committee evaluation process

Up to six Work-Life Liaisons will be selected by the Faculty Success Leadership Team and will receive a $1000 annual stipend to recognize their time and service.
